Thorpeness observes seasonal dog restrictions in clearly signposted areas from May 1st to September 30th. The restricted area is a short stretch of Thorpeness beach, situated just in front of Remembrance Road.
Public toilets are conveniently located at The Boathouse (IP16 4NW), open from 6 am to 8 pm during Easter to October and 7 am to 5:30 pm from October to Easter. The facilities include amenities for disabled visitors and baby changing.
The car park situated behind the beach (IP16 4NW) operates on a pay-and-display basis from 8 am to 6 pm, with free parking available for up to 30 minutes.
There are no lifeguard patrols here.
